World’s first open-source software for exploring rail decarbonization is launched. The National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and the Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) have unveiled a new open-source modeling and simulation software system, which has been developed to help the rail freight industry assess potential pathways to decarbonization.
