During winter break of third grade my family and I took two connecting plane rides to Australia, one 18 hours, the other six. We lived there for the next six months, attending school and work. I didn’t restart third grade, and instead just started fourth grade. We lived less than a mile away from the beach and the water. My family and I went to the ocean almost everyday, and spent our free time eating pizza from the local parlor by the beach.
