12-year-old Brian Mauro of Portland, Oregon attempts to break the current record of Asteroids, but has to stop 28 hours into the play session due to stomach pain.

On the same day, at the same arcade, 14-year-old Michael Lopez was playing the arcade game Tempest with his friends, when he suddenly collapsed due to a migraine.

The belief that these events were caused by the games being played, as well as the location, seemed to have inspired the Polybius legend.
