The goal of the program was to help address the ever growing issue of mental health within the community. In order to do so they aimed to train community members as bilingual mental health paraprofessionals. They hoped to make mental health services reasonably accessible to the Pilsen community members while desensitizing the topic which is usually culturally shunned.
