In 1975, the last American soldiers left Vietnam as a campaign in trying to end the war. Many citizens were rejecting the war and wanted to be out of it. This had led to many protests around the U.S. After the last American had left South Vietnam, North took over and combined both Vietnams into communist Vietnam.
