Ho Chi Minh was a famous Vietnamese nationalist. Although he believed in communism, he really wanted what was best for Vietnam and longed for independence.
He traveled the world, learned about global values, instigated revolutions, and rallied an army called the Viet Minh while keeping them to himself. France claimed that Vietnam remained a colony under their rule. However, because the French did not take care of the colony, conditions were harsh and many starved to death. The Viet Minh thus fought the French, eventually defeating them at the Battle of Dien Bien Phu. Ho Chi Minh became the president of North Vietnam and implemented communist values ​​and beliefs.
