After the Czar left to go to the front line to raise morale of soldiers, his wife was left in charge even though she didn’t understand how to run the nation. Instead, she listened to another person in power, Rasputin. He was able to manipulate the royal family after healing their son of his illness and was believed to have magical powers.
-This was a cause for the Russian Revolution because people didn’t believe that Rasputin had magical powers and believed the royale family was making a fool out of themselves. They were embarrassed that some random guy was able to almost take over the whole nation and were unhappy with what he was doing.
