-Contains about 100 experimental studies over 2 decades

-Needed once Wundt's students started producing original research and wanted to publicize the progress

-Became the "mouthpiece" for the work done by him and his students

-At least half was dedicated to studies on sensation and perception; the other half contained work on reaction time (most popular), attention, feeling, and association.
