With everything destroyed, people were finding new ways to get technology and build it in order to survive. Lots and lots of cyberware was invented in order to try and rebuild society, machines were made to make more machines and they wanted to repair as fast as they could.

CitySide of course made plenty of profit as well from this, selling things to other regions and they had basically all the power. The citizens in Cityside saw it as generous and kind to other regions, but in reality, they were some of the reason why they ended up like this in the first place.

The cyber age sparked new and inventive cities, tools, weapons, etc, and continued to expand without focusing on the RotLands. Regions continued to remain suspicious of one another, and the Cityside sort of grew overprotective and untrustworthy of the outer regions especially the Vadelands. Communication was uneven for a while.
