The death of Bill and its impact said more about his life than about his death. He was imprisoned as spy after spending time taking care of Chinese people. He stood in stark contrast to brutality of the Chinese Communist regime. It is said that the blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church and so this event no doubt had a positive impact on the SBC.
