The 15th Amendment-Voting Rights for Black Men guaranteed African American men the right to vote. As a result, African Americans exercised the right to vote. They also held office in many Southern states through the 1880s. Susan B. Anthony believed it was unacceptable that the Amendment didn’t give women of all races the right to vote.
