France gave Britain all of North America east of the Mississippi, except New Orleans. In exchange for Havana, Spain ceded Florida to the British. Although Britain was victorious in the war, and the favorable terms have aroused British pride, the expansion of British territories is unfavorable to me. If expansion is left unchecked, demand for my goods in New England may begin dwindling, as the colonial economy spreads into the west.
