The Savannah Police Dedpartment recounted three local pioneers in the city and the nation’s struggle for racial equality.On March 16, 1960, Carolyn Quilloin Coleman, Ernest Robinson and Joan Tyson Hall were arrested during the sit-in. They were simply siting down and they got arrested.
