Now that’s a good-looking couple! Johnny Depp joined his fiancee Amber Heard (wearing her giant engagement ring!) on the red carpet for the premiere of her new movie, 3 Days to Kill, in L.A. on Wednesday, Feb. 12. “You could tell he was very proud to be there supporting her,” an eyewitness tells Us Weekly of the recently-engaged couple. “And she seemed thrilled to have him there by here side.”
The dapper actor, 50, looked handsome in a three-piece navy suit, while his bride-to-be, 27, stunned in a long-sleeve, navy-colored dress with a high slit and plunging neckline. The most noticeable part of Heard’s red carpet ensemble, however, was the sparkling ring she proudly displayed on her left ring finger! The insider reveals that the famously private couple was “very affectionate” on the red carpet and could not keep their hands off each other.
“At one point, Johnny leaned in and gave her a very sweet and gentle kiss on the cheek,” adds the observer. “They definitely seem like a happy couple — he stared at her with a very proud look on his face and she tossed him some sassy smiles.”
In 3 Days to Kill, Heard plays a seductive FBI agent named Vivi Delay opposite Kevin Costner and Hailee Steinfeld. At the film’s press conference in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, Feb. 11, the blonde actress, who’s starred in action movies like Drive Angry and Never Back Down, told reporters why she likes the genre: “I always prefer to shoot the gun than wear a wedding dress,” Heard explained. “It’s far more interesting to me.”
Rest assured, Heard will don a bridal gown (in real life!) eventually. As previously reported by Us, sources confirmed that the Rum Diary costars are indeed planning to marry. “The proposal happened a while ago,” one insider told Us. “She just didn’t wear the ring.”
