Amari is chained up with many others from her village. These chains go on her legs, arms, and neck. They travel many miles, the once beautiful lands seem dark and gloomy to Amari, even then she still hasn''t given up hope. On the way many people die because they can't handle the conditions and living without their loved ones.This journey takes many days, many weeks.
