Earth Day is a holiday we currently celebrate every year on April 22nd. The first one happened in 1970, as college students started it as an activist event between finals and spring break. Earth Day is significant because it is the first exposure many get to environmental issues at a young age, which will help everyone obtain awareness for our Earth's delicate condition.
