The Salem witch trials was a time were people, mostly women, were accused of witchcraft. Nobody was safe because anyone could have been accused to be a witch. If you were accused, your punishment was to be sent to death. During this time, most people couldn't prove their innocent, because it's was hard to prove something that was real in the first place, witchcraft.
