All I have to do is dream was the Everly Brothers 2nd #1 hit out of three. It Featured The Everly Brothers smooth, innocent, melancholy harmonies and light rhythm guitar parts which defined their music and would go on to inspire other Duos like Simon and Garfunkel and Paul McCartney and John Lennon. Although the Everly Brothers had a straight-lace rock n’ roll sound, parents did not approve of it because their lyrics were often considered “sexual”. Teenagers however had a very different opinion and The Everly Brothers soon grew to a large popularity.
