First Christmas since Marcus came into their lives where Dominic feels happy. Molly gives him a brand new phone and a new pencil case (his old one being Spiderman) and a couple of t-shirts. He has learnt Molly’s favourite song – an Elton John number – on guitar and plays it for her, making her laugh. He’s happy to be home. They watch the fireworks over Clovelly on New Year’s Eve, Molly’s arms around them both. “my boys.”
