31st August, 2006 – Sam runs away again. Bag packed and determined to get to Kathleen again, who has stopped sending cards or presents and he doesn’t know why. Misses her and Hector.

1st September, 2006 – Without any money, he doesn’t get far and Benjamin finds him. They argue at the roadside as Sam refuses to get into the car. A couple pull over to help, thinking Benjamin is trying to kidnap Sam. Benjamin explodes at them, smashing in the windows of their car. Sam witnesses it all. The police arrive and arrest Benjamin and take Sam back to his mother. She isn’t happy with him and even says “my life will be much easier without you in it.” Sam doesn’t need any more encouragement to disappear.
