This amendment limits the president of the united states to just two four year terms in office for a possible total of eight years . This was passed as safeguard against any possible abuse of power and would be tyrants. This is much like the earlier populist proposals but it does not stick to the one term limit . This will be the closes that we as a nation wwill come to the one term limit proposed .
