Announced in January 1991, but released in February 1992; the ADAT allowed for 8 track recording or, if synchronized to other ADAT machines, up to 128 tracks. The ADAT recorded onto Super VHS tapes. This caused some issues as the machine would sometimes ‘eat’ the tape which would make people lose most, if not all of their progress on a project.
