After death of Muhammad, the Succession question become a major problem, and in Saqifah, several Ansar tried to elect new leader to lead the Ummah, but soon after the loyalist of Ali join, such an event are quiet for a time. This event is a foreshadow of the First Fitna and future split of muslim between Sunni whom support Ali's bloodline succession and Shia whom support Umayyad Clan's power succession.
