Descrição:

Patriarch Heraclius, Balian of Ibelin and 2 other knights protected Jerusalem.
Saladin negotiated surrender.
He destroyed the Christian presence in the Levant. Churches turned into mosques, Christians expelled, fortresses destroyed, small towns/villages emptied.
Saladin was victorious.
A third crusade was called - Richard I of England, Philip II of France and Frederick Barabarossa were ready to take back Jerusalem.
