The Russo-Japanese War was a war in which Russia lost, they were fighting over Korea and Manchuria. The war started after the Sino-Japanese(1894-1895) war where Russia got control of Liaodong Peninsula which Japan attacked starting the war in 1903. In the end Russia had to give up Karea and leave Manchuria but they got to keep the Liaodong Peninsula.
