Around year after due to starvation and being under relentless pressure from the army, Quanah Parker surrendered. For Quanah, it was easy to transition to the reservations, and on the reservations he was leader to all the Indians and helped them learn the ways of the white people and promoted ranching. Quanah ended up becoming a wealthy stocker himself.
