The Council of Chalcedon was the largest of the ancient councils, containing 500-600 bishops. At this council, Dioscorus was put on trial, read the minutes of the Robber Synod, and were declared orthodox. After much debate, they finally produced the Chalcedonian Definition of Faith It's most crucial affirmation was that Jesus Christ consisted of two natures, yet was only one person.
