Bacon's Rebellion consisted of different groups who were against the White leaders. One was the frontiersmen who were pushed to the border. They wanted to have Powhatan land but when they tried, they were easily killed. Frontiersmen asked for the government's help but they denied. Another group was the Black and White indentured servants. They thought there was a large gap between the poor and rich. When Bacon's Rebellion diminished, the rich White leaders divided and conquered the White and Black indentured servants. The leaders were afraid of another Bacon's Rebellion because everyone was working together. The White leaders had given the White indentured servants crops and sometimes land to make them think they were better than the Black indentured servants. After White leaders were exchanging servants to slaves. This was the beginning of racism.
