@amberheard . This is a photo I took of Amber at my house in the midst of her divorce. The insanity of the media made it so that she rarely left her apartment.

On days like this one, I would sneak her out of her home, past barriers of paparazzi, hidden under a blanket in the back of my car. Sometimes friends go through life experiences that are beyond challenging, not only for them but for those that love them. This was one of those times. I remember she said " | know it's not easy being my friend right now." Learning how to show up for loved ones in crisis and not abandoning yourself and your own life in the process is a skill worth learning. You can love someone, but you can't fix the problem for them.

This, l've learned many, many times over. We've all got to do the work ourselves, and being loved by friends makes that journey more than a little bit better. Grateful I got to be on the journey with you @amberheard & watch you rise and flourish .
