Beowulf arrives in the Swabian Forest, and surveys the defeat of the dragon Gnita-Heath. Finding traces of the hoard, long since emptied from the mountain. He travels to the lord manor, and calls upon the lord there, a rich noble named Kuperan. Asking what transpired with the dragon, he is told the tale of Sigurd, and asked to spend the night. That night, he is attacked in his bed by agents of Kuperan. Confronting the noble, Beowulf discovers he wears a ring bearing a magical artifact, the Bloodstone gem (actaully a M'kraan crystal). Kuperan had been waiting for Princess Kriemhild when she escaped, kidnapped her and took the ring. Defeating Kuperan, Kriemhild asks to be taken back to her father. In return, she gives Beowulf the ring.
