My main caregivers were my mom, dad, mama, and papa (my mom’s parents). My mom was loving and supportive and I definitely was the closest with her. She was also stressed out a lot of the time. My dad was addicted to drugs, he worked nights, so he slept a lot during the day. When he was with my brother and I he wanted to be the fun dad, but I didn’t really like spending time with him. Him and my mom fought constantly, my dad yelled a lot and hit walls, my mom would cry, and then my dad would be gone for days at a time. My grandparents house was my refuge from home, and my grandparents were loving and fun, and very attentive. My brother and I were extremely spoiled over there, which we obviously loved. I remember my papa from day would encourage me to be the best in anything I tried and wanted me to know that I could achieve anything. He literally thought and treated me like I was the most interesting, smartest, best person in the entire world. We were extremely close during his life.
