Stalin was the dictator of the Soviet Union from 1922 to 1952. Although the Soviet Union and the United States were allies during the second World War, as soon as it ended they became enemies. Stalin worked tirelessly trying to develop stronger and stronger nuclear weapons, and trying to obtain total control of Eastern Europe. Stalin wanted to expand communism and aided communist rebellions or countries, like North Korean's invasion of South Korea.
