In an April 1981 Issue, the Magazine Sanctify releases an article critical of the Flesh Pit, proclaiming it to be "a foul tunnel to lucifer himself".

Attacks by Evangelical Christian groups were common for a time in the 80's, but tamed down severely as a chapel was instituted in the 90's.
