18 maio 1896 ano - Plessy vs Ferguson
Descrição:
Homer Plessy refused to sit in a jim crow car breaking Louisiana law. Plessy argued that his constitutional 14th and 15th rights were violated. The supreme court said that just because the law made a distinction between black and white train cars does not mean that his constitutional rights were violated. This ruling validated the 'separate but equal’ argument for segregation.
