Descrição:

The territories of Kansas and Nebraska were created. Whether slavery was going to be allowed was to be determined by popular vote. The law also got rid of the Missouri Compromise. Mississippi would have wanted people to move to Kansas and Nebraska because if enough people voted there, slavery would become legal. The Kansas Nebraska act would be supported in Mississippi because it meant the expansion of slavery.
