22 mar 1765 ano - Road to Revolution: The Stamp Act
Descrição:
The Sugar Act was passed a year before the Stamp Act and was the beginning on the British taxing on the colonists. This new law extended the other products and now all the printed materials that they used such as newspapers, magazines and playing cars became taxed. This time the colonists reacted more and responded by boycotting all British goods, attack officials who were sent by Great Britain to enforce the Stamp Act and burned the stamps in the street. The Sons of Liberty was created, a network of secret organization that claimed that the American Colonists were equal to all the British citizens. The protests lead to the repeal of this act.
