In the roaring 1920’s people started to buy stock on loaned money. Everyone thought they would become rich and the market was going crazy. Later, the economy couldn’t continue to grow in that pace and in 1929 it slowed down, people panicked and started to sell massive amounts of sock. The problem was that they had dropped in value and was at the worst only worth 23% of the original price that was bought on credit.
