This order, signed and approved by Franklin D. Roosevelt, allowed for Japanese Americans to be taken from their homes and moved into camps. It was incredibly racist and prejudice, and was later acknowledged for the act of hate it was when the government sent $20,000 and an apology letter to everyone who was affected.
