Also known as the battle of Normandy, the allied forces were making a big push to re-occupy mainland Europe. In charge of capturing Juno beach, the Canadian forces charged in head on. Although postponed for a day because of bad weather, the invasion was very successful. The allies parachuted in from the sky, charged in from the sea and gave continual air support for the troops. Outnumbering and overwhelming the Germans, the Allies plowed through their enemy, although not reaching their objectives, the allies succeed in capturing the Normandy beaches.
