Historians believe that Roman Emperor Nero set fire to Rome but had blamed the fire on the Christian community. The flames burnt for six days before it was under control. The fire broke out amongst shops that contained flammable goods. Rome had 14 districts and only 4 were undamaged. The other 10 were harmed, with 3 districts completely destroyed.
