Margaret Sanger fought for the right for women to have birth control and contraceptives. Many people believed that it was something that was not needed, but she fought anyways. She is one of the founders of Planned Parenthood. On October 16th, Margaret Sanger established and opened her first birth control clinic in America. Opening this clinic violated a New York State Code. On the day it opened, 140 patients visited the clinic.
