World War One was known as the "war to end all wars". There were over 40 million casualties in this war, and it was the biggest conflict that many had seen. During World War One, new military technology was created. This created mustard gas, an extremely inhuman and painful way to kill another person. World War One was certainly a time of political decline for the whole world. I rate this a -3 in social decline because it affected the entire world in a very negative way.
