Amber was charged with illegally smuggling her two pet dogs into Australia the day before although in the UK trial she maintains she was not aware of this until several days later.

The Chronology finds this odd - TV, internet and phones all work on Hamilton Island - the charges were global news dominating the headlines at this time and especially so in Australia.
