Here’s what the 29-year-old actress had to share with the mag:

On her husband Johnny Depp in the industry: “I think that it takes people like him who have the ability to change and challenge this very old and tired system. And I think he and I are looking for our own ways to do that. I want to see him get behind the camera and direct.”

On wage equality: “When I make those movies, I will pay women as much as I pay my male actors.”

On her interest in female-driven movies: “[I choose] stories that don’t demean and demoralize women into these objectified roles, and more adequately represent female life in our minute complications and edges.”
