Henry died at the age of 39. During his life, he was the editor of the Atlanta Journal. Grady used the newspaper to promote a New South program of northern investment, diversified agriculture. and southern industrial growth. He is credited for the creation of Georgia Tech. Henry is connected to Tom Watson because he opposed his ideas.
