In September, stock prices had peaked and were beginning to fall. Many investors began to sell their stock. Then in October, the market fell and many panicked investors sold their shares. On the 29th, the stock market crashed, and shareholders tried to sell their shares before the prices fell even lower. 16.4 million shares were dumped that day. People who bought stocks on credit were now in a huge amount of debt, while a majority of other people lost all of their savings.
