Charles the Simple put out a treaty for Rollo to end his brigandage of West Francia. Rollo would gain territory for the other Vikings in his brigandage, however, the Vikings needed to convert to Christianity, swear allegiance to Charles, and protect West Francia from other Viking raiders. While there isn't much more information about Rollo and most of the knowledge of Rollo comes from the end of his life and his ruling of Normandy.
