Following Darth Maul's supposed demise, the return of the Sith causes paranoia amongst some Jedi. Sifo-Dyas is expelled from the council after calling for the creation of an army for the republic. He purchase a clone army from Kamino and is killed by his friend Dooku via the Pyke crime syndicate soon after. Dooku was already corrupted by the dark side and had replaced Maul as Sidious' apprentice.
