while walking home from school Jacques and his brother are picked up their day and told that their beloved dog who was 15 years old was dying from hip cancer and that they were going to put her down so she doesn't feel as much pain, Jacques was heartbroken but eventually he realized that he wouldn't want his dog to suffer.
