she tells her about alys, and ll gives her a list of women to memorise
maire asks her what for, ll tells her to just find out what she can about them
she goes to find ida, who knows everyone in the dun district (which is the poor, but not high ward level poor district), and that's where the address is
maire asks her about the women, ida tells her she knows of one of them, a friend of the family, and where she can find her
they go and turns out it's an asylum
they ask for the five women and are told that only one of them is still alive
they're introduced to her, ida leads the way, and it quickly turns out that this woman is as crazy as jos's mom is, only speaking in some weird language and making odd movements with her hand
maire asks when this happened, ida says five years ago or so, and that at first she kept talking about the thing she found and the thing she wasn't supposed to have seen
it's freaky
they also finally notice that she's holding smth in her hand, and they realise it's one of the satirical drawings of james and isabella
maire throws it away, enraged, and leaves
on their way back, though, they see a huge crowd gathered around magdana's temple, and they push through to see kano's painting master crucified
